CARBIDE BURRS - SH FLAME TYPE * Images are for illustrative purposes only *

    Availability: Out of stock

    Quick Overview

    DESCRIPTION
Carbide Burrs are shanked cutters made of Hard Carbide material. The cutter have multiple sharp edges in Single or Double cuts.

    SINGLE OR DOUBLE CUT
Single cut is suitable for work material producing long chips like Ferrous metals, Steel, Hardened Steel, Stainless Steel, Cast Iron and Copper.

Double cut is suitable for work material producing short chips like non-Ferrous metals, Aluminium, soft steel and non-metals.

    SHANK AND COLLET PAIRING
The shank of the Burr is held in the collets of Air or Electric powered Die Grinders. Shanks are made mostly Imperial 1/4" diameter or smaller 1/8" diameters. There are Metric shanks made to 6mm; and for the smaller Burr sizes, 3mm diameters. The collet size of the Die Grinder must be the same as the shank it holds ie Imperial 1/4" collet holds Imperial 1/4" shank, and not the Metric 6mm shank.

    ALLOWABLE SPEED (RPM)
The Air Die Grinders have high rotating speeds no lesser than 20,000 RPM, A poorly gripped Carbide Burr will likely be flung out, causing damage and injury.
Similarly, never use a Die grinder with higher RPM than the permitted speeds of the Burr. Therefore, it is important to check that the Burr has higher permissible speed (RPM) than the Die Grinder. We recommend SOUTH HOUSTON Air Die Grinder SHDG model and Air Angle Die Grinder SHAG model with 1/4" Inch or 6mm Metric Collet size to fit the corresponding shank size.

    SHAPES AND DIMENSIONS
The shape and dimensions of Carbide Burr is identified by alpha numeric code. Refer to the table attached for selection.
